I think the preferred workflow is still to send patches to the mailing
list. For only a couple of patches a git repo is a bit overkill and I
find that branching on github and making a pull request there bypasses
most of the valuable input from the mailing list.
Attached you'll find a properly git-formatted patch, with commit
message and author info (which isn't me) for one of the patches that
started of this whole github thing. The other patches either aren't
relevant anymore, or I will review and resubmit them at a later time.
