Thanks.  I have applied that.  However example.c is exactly the same as the one in 1.2.3.9.

Ok.  Anyone have a problem with that?

Also I'm wondering if I should move the vstudio stuff to projects/ instead of contrib/ .  I think it's more appropriate in projects/ .

I don't mainly because I am unsure of the reliability, and I have not investigated the reliability since I understand the gains to be marginal (order 10%).  If the gains were larger, e.g. a factor of 2 or even 50%, then I would be more inclined to make those part of the mainstream zlib.
