Ok, now *this* one is the release candidate for 1.2.4.  Please test widely.


      1.2.3.9 works fine with pngcrush.

      Removing gzio.c broke the libpng/contrib/pngminim/* scripts because
      they unnecessarily built and linked gzio.o.  That was easy to fix,
      and the resulting "minimum libpng applications" are each about
      4kbytes smaller.  Happily,the revised scripts also work better
      with earlier zlib versions.
