Ok, I discovered do have sha1sum, so here is the updated info:

  len(zlib122.zip)  = 505456 bytes
  MD5(zlib122.zip)  = cf543b25b64679acb4fbe892b2b14646
  SHA1(zlib122.zip) = e742ccfaa602db43b8887cf1582be3755de92737

You still have to wait until I set up a PGP signature. If you have
security concerns, you can run diff across the entire directory tree of
the expanded zlib-1.2.2.tar.gz vs. the expanded zlib122.zip ... or give
me a phone call ;-)
