Hello,
Bonsoir,
After Gilles's message on zlib-devel pages, I wrote a program to test the zip files on my hard drives with zlib 1.2.1.
(dll version for Windows on Gilles's pages)
I have 768 zip files containing 22910 files for a compressed size of 2.4 Giga bytes (with Windows 98 SE).
All the files, after decompression, have a good Crc32 value.
To be sure that my test program is not blind, coul you send me an example of a bad zip file where zlib 1.2.1 fails in inflating.
Thanks for all your work.
Merci pour votre très bon travail.

To known how dangerous was the bug, have you an idea of the risk (%) to
found this problem in a real life zipfile?
Pehaps it can be useful to write a test program that try unzip (in memory)
all zipfile (and pehaps .gz also) of an hard disk, using zLib.
All reader of this list have probably hundreds of zipfile on hard disk. The
CRC32 value stored in the zipfile directory help known if there is a
problem
