Compiled & tested OK:
- Windows SDK v7.0 Microsoft C++ v15.0 command-line compiler targeting x86
- Windows SDK v7.1 Microsoft C++ v16.0 command-line compiler targeting x86
- Mac OS X 10.6.8, Xcode 3.2.6 targetting i386
- Mac OS X 10.6.8, Xcode 3.2.6 targetting x86_64

Tested in this case means [n]make test & testdll, and tested in an existing 
project with libpng 1.6.1.
