Tested with Visual Studio 11 Beta, as well as MinGW and Borland C++
(i.e. the usuals). All passed.

FYI, contrib/vstudio/ passed when building zlib with VS11 Beta, but
failed building minizip, in the same spot that I reported last time.

I'm glad to help. As for figuring out Visual Studio from what you know
about Xcode, I remember going the opposite route, a year and a half
