Mike,

I tried it, and decided no.  It created 2 MB of automatically generated stuff on top of an otherwise < 3 MB distribution.  Since all of that can be automatically generated from the already included 385 byte file (much better compression than gzip can achieve!), I'll leave it to the user to do that.
