[Zlib-devel] zlib 1.2.6 - Updated Makefile for OpenVMS

Hello Colleagues,

I've updated make_vms.com to work with zlib 1.2.6 on OpenVMS. Besides of some small
housekeeping it contains an updated way to build shareable images (aka .dll or .so).
The zlib.map file proofed extermely useful for this (Thanks for adding it!) and
allowed me to get rid of a really dirty hack.

A diff/updated version of make_vms.com is on http://zinser.no-ip.info/trans/
(diff.make_vms and make_vms.com).

It'd be great if you could update the file for the next release of zlib.

The procedure has been tested with OpenVMS on Itanium and Alpha CPUs. I do hope to 
have a VAX available for further tests in the future.
