Binutils 2.21.53.20110823 complained:

/usr/bin/ld: unable to find version dependency `ZLIB_1.2.5'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Attached is a patch to fix it (you can apply with: git am 0001-fix-ld-error-unable-to-find-version-dependency-ZLIB_.patch).
BTW do you prefer patches attached like this or git send-email?
