Hi,
I have (finally...) built the zlib-1.2.5 DLL according to the specs
stated in DLL_FAQ. I used gcc-4.5.0-mingw32, since it's newer than and
compatible to MS Visual C++. As long as we continue linking to
MSVCRT.DLL, I don't think it's a good idea to continue using and
linking to the older Visual C++ libraries, while an up-to-date MinGW
can do the same thing, only better.
The zlib125-dll.zip archive is available at
http://cosmin.users.sourceforge.net/testing/zlib125-dll.zip
The MD5 checksum is da11aaa009d921087b0aa612c801c438.
Please have a look (and perhaps run some tests), and let's publish it
on the zlib site if everything looks well to you.
Best regards,
Cosmin
