Gentoo: builds fine (minus the gentoo LDFLAGS patch, now in zlib), nothing has crashed so far...
MinGW (configure): shared and static build fine, examplesh.exe and example.exe execute fine
Cygwin (configure): static builds fine, example.exe executes fine (shared never did build - disabled)

Visual Studio 10 ('contrib/vc10') - Compilation *does* work and doesn't show 'off64' errors, I had errors later but I think that may be because I didn't read the instructions.

So that's a pass on all the issues I'm familiar with.
