The layout of the oss-qm repo is like this:

* upstream's versions are kept in UPSTREAM.<pkg>.master branch
and tagged with UPSTREAM.<pkg>-<version>
* vendors (like myself = "METUX") have their stuff in the
<VENDOR>.<pkg>.* branches and tagging as <VENDOR>.<pkg>-<version>.
* vendor branches/tags should always be based on the appropriate
upstream version, so they're just leafs.
* version numbers are normalized (only numbers, strictly ascending -
aka no "pre-*" stuff, etc).
