You mean DOS? FlexOS? RISC OS, maybe? Not so much, I suspect. And you
can always ifdef it so that people using such systems can compile a special-
purpose version to default to ".zlb" or ".zli" if the OS can't just truncate
nicely.
But honestly, in this day and age, it would be a shame to forego the obvious
in order to accommodate dinosaurs that may or may not be used by a minuscule
number of folks (who are pretty much guaranteed to know how to deal with the
problem by now anyway). Ten years ago, DOS/Win3.x was the big worry due to
the unwashed masses; now it's history.
IMNSHO, anyway...
