It is still rejecting some files with "invalid distance too far back"
which were acceptable to zlib-1.1.x. This is a problem because IE accepts
PNG files with this error, so it is perceived as a bug in Firefox to
reject them. Can the ~DEFLATE_STRICT behavior be expanded to accept
these files? Applications built with the CollosseumBuilders library
are generate them. There is a sample PNG file at

I realize that it is a lot of magnanimity to ask, to accept invalid
datastreams, and I won't ask you to do it if it opens a vulnerability.
But all the same, uneducated users only see it as a bug in zlib or firefox.
