[Zlib-devel] zlib 1.2.3.3 testing

The latest beta (1.2.3.3) is the first version of zlib to build both  
static and shared libraries by default.  As a result, it will test  
shared builds on systems that it might not have been tested on  
before.  If you have a Unixish system, please try make distclean, ./ 
configure, and make test on 1.2.3.3 to see if your shared, as well as  
static, builds are working.  There are likely latent problems in the  
shared builds that haven't turned up before simply because they've  
never been tested.
