Thanks for the bug fix. There are some other issues with the gz*
functions' handling of eof with respect to pipes. I need to decide
if I want to dive in there and try to fix all that, or if it would
make more sense to go to the rewritten version of those routines
("gzlib") that I sent out for testing a while back.
