My zlib123.zip is smaller than your, with exacctly same content. I
compressed using "zip -9 -X -r zlib123 *"
In zlib123-dll.zip , I only recompiled the DLL by updating the .RC file as
you suggested

Two observations:

Gilles sent us the DLL build (thank you, Gilles), but I had to update the
README.txt file. I removed the notice "This [DLL_FAQ.txt] is newer than
win32\DLL_FAQ.txt distributed with [...]" (because this is no longer true),
and I replaced "Contributed by Cosmin Truta" with "Contributed by Gilles
Vollant" (because this is how it is).

And the second one: The file win32/zlib1.rc mistakenly uses 1,2,2,0 instead
of 1,2,3,0 as the version string. This is reflected in the DLL build, send
by Gilles and repackaged by me. I did nothing about it, because it's a minor
issue anyway.

Best regards,
Cosmin
