All,

Thanks to Cosmin's tireless and masterful efforts to whip zlib and it's
DLLs into shape, zlib 1.2.0.5 is now available for testing. You can
get it here:

      http://www.alumni.caltech.edu/~madler/zlib-1.2.0.5.tar.gz

Please give this a go, especially those of you inclined to compile and
use DLLs, the assembly coded routines for Intel processors, or 16-bit
memory models. Really everyone should try it, since there have been a
lot changes in the name of portability.

I have also added some functionality to inflate to allow ending at
block boundaries and returning information at those boundaries that can
enable deflate stream concatenation and appending.

Happy compiling!

mark
