Ahem, well, please ignore all that.  I found out what I was doing wrong 
in the Mailman settings, so it is now changed back to Reply-To munging, 
with the proper address inserted.  So you should be able to simply 
reply (not reply all) to respond to the list.

If on the other hand folk prefer no Reply-To munging, let me know.
