I should finish zlib-1.2.0.f-cos2 by this weekend. I don't think that
many changes are to be made by Mark or by someone else after this
(hopefully none), but then there will be the release candidate time
frame for another two weeks or so. Zlib will be frozen during the
release candidate period, but I guess we can make an exception for
any contributed project (including yours), since the official claim
about it remains "untested".
